NEW TOURETTE SYNDROME SUPPORT GROUP LAUNCHES IN WHYALLA

Published

on

Whyalla is home to a new, local Tourette Syndrome Support Group, with the first meeting being held tonight. Individuals with Tourette Syndrome, and their family or carers are welcome.

One of the organisers of the Group said, “Having Tourettes can feel quite lonely and baffling, at least until the person with Tourettes and their families have a better understanding and acceptance of the disorder. Experience indicates that meeting others and exchanging information with those who face similar issues can break down feelings of isolation and help individuals better manage their Tourette Syndrome.”

The Support Group will meet at D’Faces Hall on Viscount Slim Ave, Whyalla Norrie tonight from 7.30pm.
