AFL great Gerard Healy has teed off at the Victorian government about its COVID-19 crowd rules, calling the current system “an embarrassment” compared to other states.
The MCG and Marvel Stadium are currently operating at 75 per cent capacity and footy fans must sit in designated zones, which has seen family’s separated on game day.
Every other state, except South Australia, is allowing 100 per cent stadium capacity and Healy called on Victorian sports minister Martin Pakula to immediately follow suit.
“At the present time in Sydney, they can go up to 100 per cent. And it’s the same in Brisbane. If you ring up and you want to get 10 tickets, you can sit wherever you like,” Healy said on Fox Footy.
